Having kids and sleeping well at night is something every mother struggles with. Even if your baby does sleep at night you may find that your night rest has become disturbed after endless nights of waking up to fee your baby.
Some moms ask their Doctor for some help but I believe natural remedies should be tried first. You still want to be able to wake up if you need to., some help that your Doctor prescribes may make you even more tired the next day.
If you find it hard to sleep at night try these simple steps;
* Go for a daily walk for a minimum of 30 minutes. You might think it won't help but trust me it will!
* Avoid coffee and tea after 4pm.
* Get your hubby to put your child to sleep- while he does that you spend some time reading or doing something relaxing.
* Prepare yourself a natural sleeping remedy; Add 1tsp of honey to 1 cup of hot milk. Drink just before bedtime. Old trick but it does work.
* Check your mattress and pillow- perhaps it is time to get a new one.
* Sleep with a pillow between your legs. Since I started with his I sleep so much better!
* Listen to relaxing music with the sound of the ocean or the wind. Relax.
* Make sure you aren't hungry not have over eaten. Try not to eat after 7pm. If you are hungry later have a light snack. I usually have a cup of hot cocoa with very little sugar.
